Okay, so this is the 7th time this has happened to one of my gourami. This is literally driving me quite cuckoo. Take a look at the picture and let me know what you think it is and what action I can take to heal it / get rid of it / stop it from ever bothering anotehr one of my gourami.
Water parameters are perfect. The fish is new, has been in the tank 3 full days now. It is residing with 4 danios and two clown plecos, all of whom have been in the tank for months and are doing well. This wound looks EXACTLY the same as what happened to my honey gourami a while ago (all died from it) except it hasn't reached what I call 'Stage three' - that is, grown some cloudy, trailing fungus. Once that happens, the fish is pretty much gone, despite anti fungal treatment.

Forgot to add - this isn't a great pic, I'll try again tonight. Additionally, the fish is occasionally glancing off rocks and swimming a little erratically, but he's not constantly doing it.
