Pleco and Acrylic

I was wondering if anybody has had problems with keeping plecos in acrylic tanks. I found a couple sites (that are probably referencing each other ) that say plecos shouldn't be kept in acrylic tanks, since they rasp on the inside of the tank, damaging the tank and exposing the fish to potential harm.

I have never heard of that!! And i wont beleive it till i see it

I would not worry about it. This may be possible with very large plecos, like 12" or better, but I've not heard of it. Young plecos (1"-10") will not hurt acrylic tanks. Period. Sounds like a wives tale to me.
