Pleco Poop!!

Geeezzzzz i didnt know these things pooop so much and they poop comes out like damn silly string...LOOOOOOOOONG. I have the pleco along with

male betta
african dwarf frog
2 corys


this pleco is making much more mess than the others. Is there any other bottom feeder i can get to replace him?

You can try oto's or chineese algae eaters. You didnt say what size your tank is. I like farlowellas too. there are many fish that will eat algae.

its a 10 gallon....i had a chineese before the pleco.....he got to aggressive with the betta.

I'm assuming it's a common pleco...in which case it will soon outgrow a 10g tank anyway. Common plecs don't grow according to thier surrounding, they just grow!

My common pleco is 3 1/2 years old and is about 14 inches long, can't imagine having him in a 10g tank, he already dominates the big tank as it is. And yes, they poop alot

lol i thought it was just mine, my pl*co does extremely long aswell, yesterdays wrapped around the big pyramid alond the floor to the right side of the tank, up the wall to were my 1 inch pl*co was sitting

Clown plecos are nice and only get about 4" long...and I really don't see any more of a "mess" than I do with my other fish
