PODS?

What are pods and how do I know if i have them? What do they look like? Do they only come out at night? If anyone has a picture that would be great. I tried google, but nothing.

cool little creatures to watch and they're good in a reef.
Always eating rotting stuff, always being eaten by fishies and i witnessed my cleaner shrimp eating some too...mhhh fresh food, and free !

When will you normally start to see them. I just set up my tank on Saturday and I guess that seeing pods is a sign of me going in the right direction. Is this going to be a few months?

From what I know about those little things it will be months. I have had my tank setup and running for about a month or 2. I do not have any sign of them yet. You can buy them and add them to your tank. I think it's like 25 a bottle.

would there be any harm adding them to my tank now? Concidering that my tank hasn't cycled yet?

wait a bit....no need to rush...anyways you'll have plenty..goodies from the live rock. I had a little amount until the 6th month..i had a load...like too much. Then they vanished, came back and so on. After 2 years my sump is filled with those creatures.
You can see them when your lights are off with a flashlight.

you'll have all sorts of pods in the tank in a couple of months.
I can see them on the glass all day long. Pretty sure they're copepods. I need to get a red filter for my flashlight to see if thy're any isopods in there at night.
