Well, I'm so confused here, I LOVE Pseudotropheus Polits soo much, they are my fav mbuna. So Im trying to decide if I should make my 56gal mixed mbuna/hap/peacock tank into a polit species tank. I'd do 2 males then about 8-10 females. Just wondering what you all think about that?
Heres a pic of the tank now, with some fish pics too...

Think Polits would make a good species tank in there? Hmm?

Well, to make room for polits, you'd have to get rid of some of you current stock, obviously. However, I wouldn't do a polit species tank. The males are gorgeous, females are boring as all hell, so if you have a tank with just two coloured males and a bunch of brown females, you'll get bored very quickly. Plus, 12 dwarf mbuna in a 56gal tank is very understocked, you have plenty of room to put a more colourful species in there with them.

I got 6 juvies from him over the weekend ;)

Honestly, I'd strip your tank completely of the current fish (except that little hybrid of yours! ;)), and pick one other species you want to stock with the polits, and do a 2-species tank.

Hybrid is the blue one with the vertical barring.

Matt, if its any consolation, I've had absolutely PITIFUL luck with the damn polits. I don't even care to acknowledge how many I've purchased, compared to how many I actually have :(
