Poor Platy

I am not sure what is going on with my poor platy. It almost seems like he isn't able to use his tale anymore and only has use of his fins. Externally he looks fine to me. Yesterday he had what looked to be a quite thick and sold looking excretion, kind of whiteish and abnormal looking. Here are a few pictures, any thoughts?

That has got to be the strangest shaped platy I've ever seen! Is the spine deformed, or am I not seeing right?

Don't know what to tell you....I'm sure someone else with more experience will post.

I think his spine is fine, might just be the angle of the picture or how he is bending.

actually..i second that fact his spine looks weird. it may be scoliosis he is contracting.
but he looks really skinny too
