Any opinions on whether a porous substrate is better than a typical gravel substrate?
I saw someone post this substrate on the forum the other day:
Volcanit Planted Aquarium Substrate
And I was wondering if the porosity of the substrate would benefit a non-planted tank which does not have an under gravel filter.
Looking at the afore mentioned substrate, I also wondered if it could cut bottom dwelling fish, or damage shrimp. Any opinions?
