Ok thsi thing just appeared today it looked like a slug it was white and had two noticable white tentacle things moving around and now it sgone ...any ideas?
did you check wetwebmedia.com for any ideas? it could have been anything: a stomatellid snail, any other type of snail, a sea slug, or Jesus Christ himself (which would be pretty sweet)
speaking of stomatellids, mine just released some sort of breeding material in my tank--he stood completely erect (on the tip of his tail) and expelled tiny greenish "balls"--probably 3-4 bursts of 75-100 each burst
i find everything in my reef tank cool--even the stomatellid snail, who was not dealt the beautiful card in life....
back to my possible snail reproduction: i have only seen one stomatellid snail in my tank...so i doubt i'll have little stomatellids running around my tank anytime soon
if you want to get a better ID start looking at night...i bet you've already got a few more in there and they likely will be out after the tank lights shut off
