Possible Brown Algae

I need some clarification on what is the brown looking stuff grwning on my crush coral substrate. I have had my tank running for 2 months and I have notice a brownish tink to my substarte. If this is brown algae can I purchase some snail or hermit crabs to control the growth? Any suggestion is well needed.

I would start with the lighting. How long are you running your lights and what kind do you use? Not many critters eat brown algae (diatoms). Normally it happens towards the end of your cycling and ends up turning green in the end.....but if you're running your lights too long, that can bring it on as well if memory serves...I could have it backwards...would need to read up again.
