Possible occie mating behavior

I have noticed recently that my largest occie has vacated the shell it normally inhabits, and one of the smaller ones has moved in. The smaller one barely leaves the mouth of the shell, and flares up easily. The larger one hangs around the area and chases everything away that comes near it, and even will attack the glass when i put my finger next to the shell. have these two paired off? what does typical occie mating behavior look like?

That sounds really promising to me. Have you seen the big one going into the shell any? Could already have eggs in there.

Yeah, that sounds good if you want little ones! When the chick moves in, that's always a good sign Congrats! Now just sit back and start looking for floating eyeballs

i never saw the big one going into the shell any, but all of a sudden the small one was in the shell where the big one always used to be. i will keep an eye out. this might be the motivation i need to move out all the julie fry i have
