possible tank mates?

I want to get a 10 gallon tank for my Betta. I also would like to add a few more fish. Since Bettas like a little salt in their water I want to get another kind of fish that likes the same water condition. Do White Cloud Minnows, cory cats, or Rasboras like a little salt? Any other suggestions would be great.

1 Otto for Algea. I don't suggest you put a betta in a 10gal if he already has his own 1gal or larger tank. They are not social, they get more aggressive with age, and they are slow swimmers so are easy targets for nippy fish.

Salt will hurt any kind of catfish with the exception of maybe the pl*co.

OK thanks for the info. I guess I'll have a 10 gallon with just platies or maybe white clouds and I might put my dwarf frogs in there as well.

A betta would love a 10 gal. as long as the current isn't too strong. They like to swim all around the tank. I had mine in a 20H once and he loved it. Any fish that doesnt' nip would be good tankmates such as platies, cories, etc. Because bettas are territorial add him last just to be sure and it will be good.
