Possible tank set up?

Ok so my friend has some fish and she needs to upgrade and i'm not really sure what size.

She has two clown loaches, a pleco and a rope fish.

I though i read somewhere you should have more then one rope fish so i was wondering if she should get another one. Also she likes Black Ghost Knife fish, not sure how well this would work with the rest. So yeah yeah she has just kinda been getting stuff that she likes, so now i'm trying to set her up better.

I found a deal on a 55 would this be an ok size?

I don't know about the rope and knife fish but the clown loaches and pleco all get to 1 foot given enough time and food. I would suggest she go with the largest tank she has room for.

i have to agree with tab. the loaches and pleco are big fish, and will need a big tank. 55g is probably still on the small end. if going bigger than that is not an option, what about trading the fish currently in there for some fish that won't get as big?

I'll see but i think she is pretty atached to what she hass now, guess i'll keep an eye out on craigslist/ tell her to save up before they get big
