my pleco is very picky about eating fresh foods. post what type of fresh foods you have tried, what works, and what doesnt. thanks

frozen prawns - a sure winner every time

most pl*cs are onminvores - so a bit of meat and a bit of veg - but check which type you have - some are veg only (alge etc)

mine was sold as a common pleco. anyone know if its omnivorous or herbivorous?

plecos are omnivorous...theyll eat dead fish...but its not like theyll attack a fish and eat it. i feed mine shrimp pellets and they love em

I feed mine ahrimp pellets and algae waffers alternating every day. The little guy is growing like mad as well. Good thing he is going to a 55g next week.

i feed mine alage pelets and he eats my drift wood and alage off my tank

Some Pl*cos are very specifically parasitic, and attach and chomp - run a search on Planetcatfish

.......and no - not all Pl*cos are Omnivores either

Fishdude - don't know what book you've been reading - but next time you run out of toilet paper...........
