I have some potbelly mollies. I noticed that i had one small baby. I had to go to work and when i came home I can not seem to find him anymore. do the mollies eat their young. I was planning on taking him out but could not right away. I also have one snail and 1 african drawf frog. Surely neither one of them would have eaten him. I am asking because I have looked really good and can not find him. Thank u

Yes, your molly could have eaten the baby, but more likely it is hidden someplace. It doesn't take much for them to hide - I have had them burrow into the gravel. Right now I have one in a 10 g tank that I didn't find until it was a half of an inch long. It is best if you get some plants - either real or artificial so they have a place to hide. There are small fake grass mats that work well and aren't very expensive.

I have two plants and a small like cave. If he is hidden in the gravel how would i clean the rocks because i need to do that and i don't want to suction him up. How fast do they grow.

It is possible to have only one fry, but more likely there are more hidden and even more that were eaten. What other fish do you have? A deformed molly such as the 'pot belly' molly sometimes has difficulty giving birth properly also.
