potential dangerous fish. please help!

hi i hope u can help me. about a year ago i bought a fish which looked quite attractive. its a black catfish with 8 feelers. it grows to quite a large size. there are two species which look like this fish one of which is highly venemous. its name is spiny catfish. the other rare fish is said to be similar. if anyone knows anything about the difference please help me. i dont know if i should get rid of it.

if it has 8 barbels and a wide flat mouth it's safe to assume that this fish is a preadator.i wouldn't worry about the venomous part unless you intend to pet your catfish.just don't be suprised when it starts eating the other fish

thanks. it has its own tank so that wont be a problem. i was worrying about my younger sister. i heard that most catfish have some venom
