Power Heads

Will I need any type of power head for a 29G live rock and fish only tank? I have a Prizm skimmer and an Eheim filter which provides current, but is that enough? If not, who makes the best power heads? Thanks

I would say to add one for the LR. I have a skilter 250 (250 GPH) and an Aquaclear 1000 (80 GPH) in my 10 gallon reef. I think that water movement is good. Ebay has ALOT of the Aquaclear 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 power heads CHEAP....these have been replaced with the 101, 201, etc.... but still work VERY well. I think the 4000 is like $13.00 + shipping and it's 396 GPH.

I'd say the 3000 or 4000.....they are also VERY useful when doing a water change if you keep a tub of ready made water handy.

you should be able to connect a hose to the powerhead intake and run the house into the mixed water which will fill the tank (aka no pouring a bucket)
