im looking at ordering some powerheads online. Anybody know of any good deals? I have an 80g display and need 2 powerheads, to cover that, want more of a dispersed flow instead of a jet stream. I think i want a box shaped powerhead dont like the type for UGF's ( lost a few fish and lots of snails to those)...
What about SEIO's i heard they are noisy(true?)
Rios?

thanks in advance for any help...

I personally hate rios, they are really noisy and dont work to well for intank purposes, they are ok in sumps but otherwise i wont use them.

I have both the micro and mini jet power heads and I like them both, easy to hide easy to clean, but they are a little small for and 80 gallon tank.
these seios are on sale, but i have also heard they are noisy, are you running these in the main display or do you want to run a closed loop system? do you have a sump?

They may or may not be noisy but I believe the Seios are like Tunze Turbelles, in which case they really shift the water and I would strongly recommend them.

I concur on the Aquaclears, they are the best I've had and very quiet. I have tried the Rios (cheap, a little noisy but quickly stop working for no reason) and I've had a MaxiJet 1200 (was about as loud as a garbage truck, or a small airplane!). Oh, and petco.com as really good deals on the Aquaclears if you are interested. Something like $10-$15 cheaper online vs. in store.
