I have an 80 Gallon with a 404 and it's fine. Just position your outtake about 2 inches below the water, facing lengthwise down the tank. It'll create disturbance on top of the water without breaking the surface and will circulate the flow in a circle around your tank.
A powerhead is always a good idea, if you think there isn't enough, but a 404 should do fine in your tank.
Also depending on your fish (like your Angels), if there's too much current, they can't thrive as well as they could in calmer water.
