pregnancy patch? pics available?

had my first fry of guppies that didnt know I had was thrilled. So now I know to look at the dark spots by anal fin but am confused on what a pregnancy patch looks like.

It depends on the species but for most it is a small dark pouch in front of the anal fin and it will get darker as the pregnancy go's along. i had a simmilar thing happen with my mollys i new she was pregnat but i did not no how far along then one day i just had fry . congrats on your fry and best of luck.

Thanks....thought that was the same thing. I have a fancy tail guppy female. I've had her for quite some time and she has a boyfriend but as far as i know never had fry. She has a growth before her tail, so wasnt sure.....i'll try to post pics
