Pregnant chiclid/sicklet?

i have a yellow african sicklet and i think she is pregnant. i dont know what that would look like, but he/she (i dont know what it is) has a bloated throat area. if you need a pic i can try to get one. please let me know if you know anything.

I've moved this to the cichlid forum, where you will hopefully get some help.

Do you know what kind of cichlid it is? It sounds to me like a mouthbrooding cichlid that's holding fry in her mouth.

Technically cichlids can't get "pregnant". They lay eggs that are then fertilized. However if the cichlid's throat is bulged then it could mean she is carrying babies or eggs in there. Any other cichlids in the tank?

Cichlid is pernounced "sickalet" I learned it through stupidity.

Acctually it would be more like "Sick-lid". Almost like the gum.
