Pregnant Guppy

I have a pregnant guppy and she has seemed to stop growing (in the belly). I dont have any babies yet either. I have had her for about 3 weeks and she was pregnant when I got her. Does anyone have a picture of a pregnant guppy at full term of close to it? I cant seem to find a good one. Any advice?

OK. The pics helped. I thought that the getstation (sp?) was 4 weeks. At least that is what I read. So she should be getting close then right?

I would put her in a breeding tank to make sure, (that is, if you are looking to protect her fry). I'm not too keen on the floating plastic ones, they seem so cramped, I have always used the cloth "mesh" covered cubes because they seem bigger and less cramped.

hey! my guppy just had babies yesterday... i bought her pregnant also.. but i was starting to think she wasnt pregnant because i felt like she should of had her babys earlyer since she looked like she was ready to pop! here are some pictures of her 2 days ago (the nite before she had her babies)

do you have her in a breeder? if not, i think you should... i think thats how you get to save most of the babies... she had 13 babies in the breeder, but i was watching her in the breeder and she tried eating her babies so i took her out right away, then later that day i saw about 5 more fry swimming in my actual tank so i don't think she was done having her babies when i took her out, i saw 2 get eaten (the ones swimming in the actual tank) good luck! is this your first time breeding guppies? that was mine!

You had great pics, Erin Thought they would be appropriate for this post Glad to hear your fry are doing well!!!! Isn't it cool? I had fry from my kribs a couple of months ago, only two are remaining now, but it is so neat to see them happy and reproducing.
