pregnant mickey mouse platy, i think

i think my mickey mouse platy is pregnant. She is extremely fat and her belly is white, bright white! We went out and bought one of those floating tanks for mom, but i am not sure when i should move her into it...

We recently had a molly who had babies about a week after we bought her....a few days later, she died. I was totally caught off guard!! I'm hoping this wont happen to my platy.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've had my platies for about a month now, and just last week we noticed that the female looked bigger than usual.

if she looks like she ate a shoe box, square in the tummy and she has the dark gravid sopt by her anul fin then without a doubt put her in now .. better safe than sorry
