Today I looked into my tank and saw that my red eyed tetra was pregnant and I have never had a pregnant fish before and I don't want the eggs to get eaten by my other fish. I have a 5gl and a 10gl tank and I have all the stuff for the 5gl but the 10gl has never been used

Red-eye tetras, being egg layers, don't get pregnant, they become gravid. However, with conditions in your tank being as they are, I would be more inclined to think that your tetra has dropsy or is constipated. Can you put up a picture so we can see exactly what she looks like?
