Everytime i do a water change 3 out of my 4 cories and sometimes all 4 of them just stop and stay at the bottom and kind of tilt a little bit for about 10 mins......does it happen to anyone else?

Try doing smaller partial water changes.

And since they would appreciate a place to hide why not provide one??

They do seem to do this even after a simple thing like feeding, I think it is just the way they are, dont worry about them too much.

How often are you near the tank? If you're only at the tank when it's feeding or cleaning time, these fish are going to associate disturbances in their tank with this big human standing outside of it. I've noticed that my fish have become less skiddish since I started reading the newspaper next to the tank in the mornings, or (sometimes reading a good book at night). I know there isn't much thought going through their little brains, but they do seem to be curious as what's outside their little world.

im there a few times of the day, they are used to me, when they see me they stay doing what they are doing unless i get to close to the tank, they only stand still after i do the water change
