Hi All,

So, I'm bored cause I have no job and no money, thank you global recession!

I decided I would post some pics of my 32g.

I bought this tank some years ago and never really got it up and running. I cycled it twice over the last few years but never had fish in it. It was just sitting in the living room wasting away. I thought about selling it, but decided to give it another go. As you can see in this pic it was in a pretty bad way. The gravel in to bottom still held, dirt, smelly and stagnant water. The tank contained a smaller fish tank, a box of fishing tackel, a sock, fake plants and all the leeds for the filter ect. All were coverd in a coat of dust and grime.

I took out the old gravel and washed it in the bath. Getting the water out of the bottom of the filter was tough. I tried to use the syphon but it did not work right, and let me tell you a mouthful of 12month old water is not good! In the end I got most of it with a dry j-cloth.

I next had to clean the glass which was flithy!

After

I re-added the now clean gravel and set about washing the impeller and heater.

They were cover in grime. I got about 90% of it off.

Other then that it was just really dusting. Lots of dusting!

After a few hours I was ready to cycle.

When the tank was ready I added some rocks, plants and some Tiger Barbs.

They are so fast its hard to get a good pic!

This is how it is looking now. Not much diffrent, due to a lack of cash, but some growth on the plants.
