Here is the scoop, I need a new pump for my 90g tank(had a big tank breakdown, yuck). As I search for pumps on ebay I have found two that I am interested in. One comes with a diatom filter and the other with a protein skimmer. I was wondering which one you would suggest me getting. I understand that the diatom filter shouldn't be run 24/7 and am not too familiar with the protein skimmer. I am relying on you guys for more info as all the searches I do don't really tell me which one would work best for me. My tank is freshwater, minimally stocked atm, an algae problem as well. The auctions end in about 4 hrs, so feedback will be appreciated in a timely matter. Thanks for reading.
A protein skimmer won't do anything for a freshwater thank.
