Protein Skimmer

I saw this protein skimmer on a classified in my area and I was wondering if anyone knows if it is a good one. Any opinions?

Its priced at $50 and I have a 45 gallon tall cube tank that I would like to do as salt water. Would this one be sufficient? Is it a good deal?

it's probably a good deal but i heard that brand isn't really good since they start leaking...but dont take my word i'd wait to see what else people say

I have never heard anything good about these skimmer. Their are only 2 skimmer really popular. 1.) AquaC Remora 2.) CPR Bak Pak skimmers. Both are higly priced but have only heard good things about them. I am using the bak pak skimmer 2. Does a pretty good job.

stay away from those..the seaclone line sucks big time...seriously it's a scam....you better get a coralife for almost the same price...

hey dennis if you have all tose empty tank that you have listed in yur sig then why u wanna setup the 45 tall?? you should setup the 55g more water volume is always better

55 gallon tanks suck for aquascaping because of the funky dimensions.

I 2nd the skimmer as a piece of crap. I have never read any good forum responses. I also 2nd the dimensions for a 55gallon indeed do suck. The narrow width is tough to aquascape.

Yes the 55g is to narrow, if it was a 70-75g (ie same length but more width) i would've gone with it, but the 45 has more width and a lot more height, and I think I would have a better time aquascaping it.....?

Unless someone could tell me otherwise..?

Wider is always better than height in my opinion. If the tank is too high it would be hard to reach the bottom of the tank.

YEs wider is better than height but I have ot choose between my 55g and my 45, I would go with my 45......
