my two favorite fish in my tank : a male pseudomugil furcata (forktailed blue-eye or furcata rainbowfish) and my male apstogramma cacautoides 3xred (cuckatoo [sp?] cichlid), are getting to almost 2 years old now. i know that both are short lived species and i was just wondering if anyone on this board might have any experiences or information on the recorded life spans of these fish in captivity???
my apisto has a new cloud of fry now, so hopefully i'll have a replacement for him when he dies, but the furcata is a little more difficult to get hold of and i only have one male.
i don't think i could ever get sick of either of these fish. stunningly beautiful fish, both of them!
