I am thinking about getting a couple of Pseudotropheus saulosi but i have heard from a couple of people that they can be aggressive little fish....Is this true? Would they be suitable tank mates for Cynotilapia Afra (dwarf zebras)???Any advice is good advice
Yes but i would say the Cynotilapia Afra could hold its own. So i would say its ok to mix them. Both can get nasty, just like pretty much any Mbuna out there.
thanks cichlid man, so how many of each should i have (eg 2 male Cynotilapia Afra, 5-6 female and 1 male Pseudotropheus saulosi, 3-4 female?????? what do you suggest. My tank is 198L, not sure about gallons.
If it were me i'd prob. do 1 male of each (might not have enough room for numurous dominant males) and about 3-4 females of each. I would get them all young and smaller and grow them up together....it might reduce some of their aggression towards each other, and might make it possible to have more males of each species.
