puffers gender?

if my puffers belly is total brown,izit a male or female??den if da belly is brown den da middle gt 1line of white izit male or female???if both of dat r males,i m DEAD.means i gt 4males two females.NEED ADVISE

the belly shouldnt be brown... what are your parameters? i thin,k in GSPs black bellies means un happy... i dont know if that applies for dwarf puffers. you have a 9 gallon right? anf four puffs? are there real plants? a good filter? do you have enough oxygen in the water?

sorry, forgot to tell you how to tell the gender. males have these tiny lines behind their eyes. kinda hard to see, but the only way to tell when they are young. as they mature the males get a stripe down their bellies. usually the shop sells them too young for that though. also some call the stripe a goatie.

ok da pH was 7.5.da oxygen is ok(double filter)n my mom gt me a 20gallon tank.full with live plants.i think they r happy,they are xplrin arround da tank n eattin alot.they feed on live worms.

hmmm... do the bellies change back and forth between black and white? some people say their puffs do that.

arh i dun think so.about da line u said at da back their eye,izit like da eye is round den da outer link(behind)is black den is a male???is dat how to differenciate their gender??
