I am getting ready to set up a new sump and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to which pumps (for water return) out there are any good.
The ones I have tried in the past never lasted long or heated the water to much. thanks. o yeah its a 75gal soon to be a 180.

on a 180 a external pump would really give you some nice flow without warming th water. For internal I second the mag (thats what I plan on using as a return for my tank)

Any water pump with require water flow is good. Mag 7 is good pump. When selecting a pump make sure that the pump can operate both submerged and an in-line.
My water level in the sump is about 1/2 inch above the pump at ideal condition. But usually the water level always falls. If your pump isn't a in-line and pump isn't fully submerged at all time, your are reducing the life of the pump.
