Pygmy Cories!! Finally!!

I finally found some Pygmy Cories today at my lfs. I am soooo excited. They've got this cute litle stripe through the middle of them. I only got 2 next time I go, I'll have to pick up some more, I put them in a little 5 1/2 gallon tank with a Scarlet badis and a baby male Apistogramma Cacatuoides.

ive never heard of a pygmy cory. are they as active as the others? do they clean up extra food? im curious. tell me more. tell me more

pygmy cories are basically the same as all other cories, except they are very small, and they are quite rare.

This is the best part. . . I only paid $3 each! They act the same way every other cory does, only they about about 1/2" right now! So cute!! I'm gonna have to pick somemore up.

They're absolutely amazing. I saw some for the first time a few weeks ago. Good thing - they were only 15 NOK each, read about 2 dollars, bad thing, they looked pretty beat up nd I'm sure most would die. They also had 3 species of apisto I'd never een before in the same poor shape.

I have never seen my Pygmaeus act the same as every other Cory, they tend to be midwater shoalers that will swim with Tetras that look similar, they also feed from amongst the plant life syphoning off the microscopic life that dwells on them.
If I see mine on the substrate I worry.

I just got 3 pygmy cories for 5$ at my lfs....they are active little guys and swim all over the tank up and down!

pygmy cories

I have 3 little guys and they mostly hang out together
on the bottom, they stay out in the open which is better
than my panda cory. I feed them sinking pellets but
as of late they have gotten lazy..
