Hey everyone:D . I'm just happy to have bought 2 pygmy cories. there so small and cute. My otto thinks its one of his kind, because they look in similar body adornment. And just to let everyone know about my botia kubotai (burmese) is swimming
about in the 15G and not hiding. I'm relieved to see my cories:p . Just thought I let everyone know how I feel:rolleyes:

I am amazed that you even get to see yours!

I have a group of 6 of them in my tank, and except for feeding time they are always hiding and I have to look to the dark corner of my tank to see anything.

Makes me wonder if I should have got Habarous(sp?) instead of Pygmaeus

They are most probably emerald cories, lotus. Some can grow to 5". Mine is just past 3". They're actually a bit different than "regular" cories, I think. They're Brochis splendens. I love them. I'm going to get more when I have the space. I saw a whole tank full of 3" ones two days ago:D

They were definitely pandas I saw. Occasionally the chain stores here will have huge cories. I am wondering if they are ex-breeders that have been put out to pasture, or something. Ecotank's comment on them was that they were so old they were about to die :(

Way to go on the pygmies.

I just got 6 more pandas now that everything is moving to the 55G. They are very fun to watch, but I'm a little worried they're not getting enough to eat (Mollies hogging it all!!) because a couple of the pandas were nibbling on the wisteria. I didn't even know they'd eat that plant.

You can try dropping in food after the lights go out. Most livebearers tend to stop eating at night (the only time, from what I've seen), so the cories might get a chance. Cories are usually pretty good at finding food, and will search plants and gravel for it, maybe that's what you're seeing with them on the wisteria.
