I've read a lot of posts where folks are raving about the Python water changer that hooks up to the faucet.

Currently I use a bucket, fill it up, and pour in water conditioner to get rid of the chlorine.

My question is: By using the Python do you fill the tank directly from the faucet and then put the conditioner in the tank? Can they handle the chlorine for that short amount of time?

sorry, should have been more clear....

there is no opening in the hose. as the water empties into the tank, i lift the hose near the surface and dump the conditioner into the stream of water coming out of the hose. there is enough turbulence created by the water that i'm confident it dissipates the concentration of conditioner quickly. and, like i said, i have had no problems yet.
