I bought a Python system today, but I haven't used it yet. I was just on their website, and I read this:

How do I add conditioners to my water when refilling my tank? When refilling with your NO SPILL, the tap water is being aerated, removing some of the chlorine so most tank owners will not find it necessary to use chemicals. If you wish to use chemicals in your tank, you may simply add them into the stream of water as you are refilling.

Any opinions/experiences? I assume I should still add dechlorinator.. does everyone else?

Any other experience-related tips to using the Python? *celebrate

I use Stress Coat and dump it in as I start to refill...

Be careful, the pump can break if you twist it too much when it's attached to the faucet. That being said, my python is one of the best things I've ever bought for my tanks...

using the python system cuts down w/c time drastically. I use mine i just clean tank and then fill like directions state. Once tank is full i add stress coat then. It won't hurt fish for a matter of two minutes from adding water to adding stress coat... you could add before adding water i just do mine after w/c.

Oh just a word of warning on the pyton...when you flip that little switch to turn the water off (if you are filling more than one tank) watch out the hose doesn't pop off. We had that happen...funniest darn thing to ever happen. But a huge mess to clean up. When I say switch I mean the one on the hose.

success! :D

well, i've heard it before, but anyone who doesn't own a python yet.. GO BUY ONE. *BOUNCINGS that was one of the most painless things i've ever done... and this is coming from a girl who cannot figure out how to use a regular gravel vac for the LIFE of me. (i only wish i was kidding.)

i did add the dechlor while filling the tank, so thanks for the advice.
