Question about a Goldfish.

Hey there, have a goldy who well in short of other terms looks constipated, and badly. Looking at him today it looks as though his excrement protruded through his side near his normal exit. I have never seen this before so im not sure what to do or if i can do anything.

Constipation in goldfish is usually treatable, but it sounds like its too late. You could add melafix to the water, it heals a lot of fish wounds. Goldfish need to eat a lot of plant materials or they get constipated. Boiled peas and spinach are often recomendedI'm not sure anything can be done to save your fish at this point though.

Any chance you could provide a photo? What color is it? Where exactly on the body is it? How old is the fish? Size? What size tank is he in and what other inhabitants? Parameters? Recent additions? How is the fish behaving?
