Question About Blue+Gold Gourami

I have a blue and gold gourami in my tank and I notice that times that they are literally resting on the bottom(My blue more then my gold) not moving. Is this common in Gouramis or is there something wrong with them?

I've never noticed my opaline doing that, or a blue that I've had previously. Do you know what the ammonia/nitrite levels are in the tank?

No, could that have something to do with why they are doing this?

If you have really high ammonia/nitrites, they're toxic... it might cause fish to laze around. I really don't know, just wondered.
