well i took the danios out of my 35 gal and decided to do a fishless cycle i felt so bad about them getting sick and my cycle seemed to be starting over anyway and it seemed like it would become a vicious (sp?) circle
cycle stresses fish
stressed fish get sick
i add meds
meds trash bio-filter
cycle starts over
and so on
i didn't want to go thru that again or put fish thru that again
so here i am with a question i hope dosen't sound dumb
i read the fishless cycling article and have a pretty good idea on how to do it i'm just wondering about the ammonia-i bought a bottle of "clear" ammonia and now i'm looking at the ingredients and it says: softened water, ammonia, chelating agent. the article said no additives so i'm wondering about the chelating agent. it's labeled as clear ammonia so i bought it, i went to a couple other stores and didn't see anything without it but i want to be sure this is okay, if it's not i'll keep looking till i find totally pure ammonia
please let me know if this is ok, i'm sorry if i sound like i'm being picky, i just want to be sure before i add it to the tank
