question about replacement PC bulbs

ok guys, i'm embarrassed to even ask...

i need to buy a replacement bulb for my 20L. Currently, I have a Coralife 65watt 6700K PC.

Do I measure the length from end-to-end or from where the bulb part starts (ie not measure the pins part)?

It is the entire length. I just ordered flourescents for my garage and that was how they were measured. I don't THINK it would be different for fish tank hoods...but you never know!

Find out the wattage of the bulb, the length of the bulb from top to bottom, and the pin arrangement.

or simply do what i did take bulb with me to pet store/fish store and buy replacement exact length...
