Question about SKILTERS?

OK I am sitting here thumping thru my new Dr Foster and Smith Catalog... and I come across a piece of equipment called a Skilter Filter....HAs anybody here have ANY experience with these and what are your opinions on them.

Had one for a while, the skimmer worked it just poured a ton of bubbles into the tank, also the rubber gasket leaked after about a year, hard to clean...for the price its a fairly good piece of equiptment for a smaller tank...however with the amount of newer, better, smaller skimmers for little tanks i would go with one of those.

me too! i had the same problem... when i was putting it together, it took me 2 hours to figure out how to get it to stop leaking! it worked OK but i wasn't impressed at all... it was 52.00 too expensive...
