I use AP's Tapwater Conditioner because it's very economical. I have something like 320 gallons worth of freshwater tanks, so using the more expensive conditioners can get costly.

The AP stuff needs only a drop per gallon. I think there's a Wardley one that's similar.

All dechlorinators use the same chemical. It's the added stuff that you're paying for. Most of the stress coat type stuff is not needed.

If you have chloramines in your water, you'll need a dechlorinator that also detoxifies ammonia. Check with your water company to see what it uses (chlorine or chloramines).
