I got one of these kits with the stuff I bought off of Craig's List. The instructions were missing. The color chart cards have instructions on the back for ammonia, ph, nitrites so that isn't a problem.
:confused::confused::confused:
The test for GH is done by adding drops to the water until a color change is noted. So my question is x number of drops = color change= what is the GH?
Any help appreciated.

...I'd have to look at mine and see if I have GH...but the bottle of drops itself usually has the instructions as well...is there not a chart for GH?

you might be able to find them online...its probably aquarium pharmaceuticals though...not american :)

GH I believe is general hardness...really not going to be a problem w/ most people's water when keeping fish...unless you have a water softener on your house or are trying to breed a particularly tricky fish that requires specific pH and hardness

Yes it is Aquarium Pharm. Good to know the GH isn't that important.
Last time I had aquariums, about twenty years ago, my Jewel Cichlids decided to breed with out any help from me. I'm not trying to breed anything as of yet.

Yes the bottles for the other tests are labeled with how many drops as well as the color code cards. The GH test doesn't have any directions on the bottle, and if there was a chart, I did not receive it.

Thank You for your help and info.
