Questions about starting a 30g Nano Reef

#1
First of all, would a 30g tank be okay?
What supplies would I need, other then test kits, heater, and filters?
What kinds of fish would I be able put in a 30g Nano?
How much live rock would I need?
Is coral recommened for nano reefs?

Thanks to anyone who answer even just one of the questions.
Cheers.

I would first suggest reading all the stickies in the saltwater and nano section. Reef is basically another word for coral. No you do not need corals to have a saltwater tank but you do need at least 30 pounds of Live Rock. You have many of choices for fish for a 30gal, to many to list. You would need powerheads for circulation. W/E i missed im sure someone else will get.

Definitely read the stickies. There is a wealth of information in them.

A 30g tank will be OK.
You'll need a couple of powerheads, in addition to the other equipment to get a total of 20 times (or more) turnover for the tank.
You'll need 30 to 60 pounds of live rock.
You can do corals, if you get the right lighting. Most are fine in a nano, but some types will get too large.
