I picked up a small quetzal cichlid from the lfs yesterday it was going to go into my 150 gallon when I picked it up which was going to be in about two weeks time. However my boss just offered me a promotion and transfer which means a small raise (yay) and that I would have to move and break down all my tanks (not yay) obviously having to set up a 150 and then take it apart again in two months would, to put it bluntly, suck.
Right now my quetzal is small and lounging with five platies and three green cories and gorging on snails. I was just wondering how fast they grow and if she will eventually start gorging on platies instead (not that I care) and really any info anyone would care to share about these fish. I don't want to have to return the fish as quetzals and central american cichlids in general are very rare around here.
