rainbowfish and cichlids?

is it true that they can co-exsist? i have a 90 gallon with about 10- 12 randoms cichlids and was wandering if i could add 4 rainbows to that tank safely, i have heard of that some peolpe have done this, what is everybodys thought?

It would depend on the species of cichlid first since you already have them. Then you might be able to pick out a suitable species of Rainbow.

Agreed, but since you have african cichlids in your signature....i'd say no. It probably would not make for the best tank.

I suppose rainbows would be fine (If they are bigger then the cichlids) but i'm not sure i'd throw in 4 juvi rainbows to the mix.
