Hello all.

I'm contemplating a 30 gallon planted tank this summer, and my initial thought was to build the tank around a pair of German Blue Rams.

Last night, a thought came to mind, though I know nothing of its feasibility: would it work to build the tank around a pair of GBR's and a pair of Bolivian Rams?

Can the two species coexist peacefully?

Thanks in advance.

if you mean pair as in breeding pair, then probably not, i dont think there is enough roon in a 30 to support both their territorial needs. however i think you could get away with having all females, as they shouldnt fight. all males would probably be a problem, as they would fight over territory.

also, welcome to mFT ;)

Hey Jeff.....I tried what you are thinking about doing.....Didnt work....all they was fight and chase each other..... had to separate the Germans and Bolivians...(hehehe *crazysmil Sounds like an International Territory Dispute*crazysmil )
Just thought I would let you know about my experience and welcome to the tank*SUNSMILE*

Nope, it will not work-even though the Bolivians are the German cousins, they still fight like due to territorial issues. best not, i think a tank for breeding rams would be very interesting but youre choice. Like i said Bolivs and german rams arent the best of fish together
I'd personally pick Germans beause i think they have more colours and they are more interesting
