ram tank size

does any one know the smallest tank size 1 ram could be kept in?

well i have 3 male german blue rams in a 10 gallon and they are doing great!. so i think 1 ram would be fine in a 10 gallon or smaller.

would a ram work in a 5 or 6 gallon eclipse? i dont have anymore room in my house for a ten gallon.

ya just one ram would be fine. My lfs has a ram in a 3 gallon desktop aquarium at the counter and it looks happy so yes that would be fine.

if i set it up, ill be doing weekly 50% water changes. im just woried about the space. i was thinking about an eclipse system 5 would this work.

ok, thanks smalltank! ever since i lost mine it makes me a little sad to see all these colroful pics of rams in planted tanks.

A five is a tad small, but a single fish will probably do OK. Just keep up on the water quality.

im goignt o realy keep up on it. its going to be highly planted and 1 50% WC a week or two 25% water changes a week. i dont even have a tank yet so this is a project in the works.

Small Tank=Very unstable, your pH could crash at any time and everything that can, usually goes wrong in a small tank like that 5G. If it does happen, Rams arent the hardiest of fishes to take it for a short period of time-and from that it will most probably die.
I doubt this will happen but IMO i think it should be taken into account
