Ram with a Cockatoo

Would a Ram Cichlid and a Cockatoo Cichlid be okay together or would the Ram be too peaceful?

Keep in mind these guys are both sensitive to certain water, i'm not sure if they get along. If you try Bolivian rams it may work out ok because they are bigger and may be able to hold their own. i'll let others chime in.....

i would say not to put the two together, they share the same tank space (the lower regions of the tank), and will fight for the territory constantly.

So what should I put in with a Ram??

why not the the normal aquarium companions for a ram.peaceful south american fish.corys,tetras,plecos(small ones perferably)ottos,guppys.if you go with a larger tank perhaps a raphael cat or a pictus cat,brochis splendens are nice too.rams do better when they are unopposed by more agressive fish.a planted tank helps too.

If your tank is big and there is lots of caves and hidding spots go for it !!!!

Keep in mind that the Cockatoo will get the best cave.
