Rams and cherries-the thread that works

My ghost shrimp have been disappearing. I don't know why, but I have seen my rams picking at the carcasses. Did they actually attack and kill the shrimp, then nibble, or were the shrimp already dead? I'm concerned because I want to add cherry shrimp.

Any cichlid will eat shrimp at any opportunity.

That's too bad. I wanted to build a simple, attractive cherry colony. What size is good for that? 5 gallon?

A 5g or 10g will work for a cherry shrimp colony.

Yeah, I'd do 5 or 10gal and do only shrimp. They are much happier and breed much better if there are no fish in the tank - even fish that won't eat them, from my experience.
