Some random pictures i took recently. Excuse the quality...my Canon Rebel is broken at the moment and i'm not used to using my dad's Nikon D70 yet.

These are very close to natural color as if you were looking at the tank yourself.

Yawn!

And one of my little Lemon Jake male. 2-2.5"

I should have some new fish soon, i know you all are tired of looking at the same fish over and over and over. *crazysmil

The more I see those lemon jakes, the more I like em'!
I was just saying in SinisterKisses' thread that her "mbweca" reminded me of your jakes. Are they both Malawi cichlids? Can they be kept together?

Obviously I've done no research on this myself, but if you could tell me off the top of your head I'd appreciate it. You never know---I just may take a run at keeping these guys someday. ;)

Having only one semi-sizeable tank is really limiting, but I know I'll keep cichlids down the road once we move to a house and I have lots of space for bigger tanks.

Sorry for going off on a tangent...

The "Mbweca" is a Mbuna, while the lemon jakes are peacocks. The afra species, in my experiences can get a little rough so personally i'm not sure i'd keep them with peacocks. But yes they are from the same lake.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up, Matt.
Hmm...I think I've gone and inadvertently insulted SinisterKisses in her thread by using her Mbweca and your lemon jakes in the same sentence.

I better keep my mouth shut here until I actually learn more about real cichlids (i.e. and not just kribs).
